Is it normal for the reviewers of this journal to run away? I submitted my paper in June 25 years ago, and it took a long time for the first review result to come back. After revising it, the second review result came back within a week. I continued to conduct additional experiments and revise the paper. Unfortunately, just as I was preparing to resubmit the revised manuscript, it happened to be Christmas and the reviewer disappeared. They are still listed as invited, but continue to be unreachable. Until now, two other reviewers have agreed to take over. All I can do is continue to wait and wait and wait.

Submission on July 25.7.3, one reviewer completed the review in over a month, after multiple reminders, five reviewers accepted the review, and returned with opinions from four reviewers after three months. The editor requested major revisions, and the second review was returned in mid-November, with two reviewers (one of them newly invited) also requesting major revisions (all related to textual descriptions). Revisions were submitted on 25.12.17 and accepted on 25.12.30, with quick proofreading done online.

Overall, it was acceptable, and the editor requested the original data (Western Blot images) to be uploaded, which is a good practice. Perhaps due to excessive submissions in the early stages, the number of manuscripts has increased significantly. Hopefully, things will continue to improve, as there aren't many free journals available.

It has only been one week since 26 years have passed, and I have reviewed more than 20 articles for this journal, an average of 4 articles per day. With this volume of submissions, is everyone in the world submitting to this journal?

Among the 20 or so articles I have reviewed, only 2 were from foreigners, the rest were all from Chinese authors. I suspect that Chinese authors account for 90% of the publications.

The current impact factor has exceeded 7.0, which is unexpected given the high volume of publications. I estimate that this year's impact factor will also be above 8.5.

Maybe in a couple of years, it will break 10, then it will be interesting to see. With 20,000 publications and an impact factor over 10, it's probably just this journal. I'm looking forward to it.
