One reviewer mentioned that the manuscript did not fully comply with the EMS policy on model/software description, which requires authors to "clearly state the objectives of their model and/or software and report the basic steps used in its development." Although the paper detailed a lot of work related to data processing and analysis, it failed to clearly introduce its model or software.
This should be the main reason for rejection, but the problem is that there are also very similar articles in this journal to what I have done, I don't understand.
The other reviewer's feedback was very positive, with only minor revisions suggested.
In summary, it is a waste of 10 months with nothing to show for it, choosing to submit to this journal was a self-inflicted mistake.

Continuing the update, on October 7th, a reviewer accepted the review, but still has not provided feedback. I have sent another reminder letter, but still received a standardized response. It has been 9 months, a child could have been born in this time, yet this article is still not out. The national award is pending because of this missing article in the second district, and it has been sent.
I previously tried to pressure the editor with graduation matters, but the reviewer remains unresponsive. The editor seems to have no recourse, so I can only vent my frustrations here (◎_◎;)
I have now completely given up hope, but I still hope that the longer it takes to come out, the better. Perhaps the direction is wrong, or the reviewer is just slow.
I will no longer send reminder letters, and I will not submit to this journal again.

Continuing to update, I wrote a follow-up reminder letter yesterday and finally received a non-generic response. A teacher from China, serving as an assistant editor, replied saying that due to a system issue, we did not receive timely notifications of the reviewers' status updates. We have now re-invited the reviewers and updated the official website as well, hoping for a positive outcome.

Update: I have written the reminder letter three times, but there has been no change. I am really frustrated. It has been 8 months already. Should I try submitting to a journal in the second district? People from Elsevier said they would contact the editor with the highest priority, but the reviewers are not responding. What can the editor do? Sigh, I hope there will be some changes before October.

25.7.11 The paper has been accepted!! It was sent back for major revisions around 25.3.6, and was resubmitted on 25.03.27. There was no news for a few months, then a reminder email was sent on 25.5.28, followed by a second reminder on 25.7.9, and finally on the 11th, the paper was accepted. Ahhhhh, so happy!
