Lutgrade Raskin's editing speed is really too slow. It has been over four months and the manuscript is still in editorial review status. The submission was sent to her hands just three days after submission. If all editors are as slow as her, this prestigious journal in the environmental field may as well close its doors! It's really frustrating, if you don't have time, then don't be an editor.

This editor Lutgarde Rakin is really incompetent. The paper has been in her hands for four months and 7 days and still in editorial review status. The manuscript was sent to her just 3 days after submission. If all editors are as slow as her, EST should just shut down, it's really frustrating.

How long does it usually take to know if the article has entered external review after the editing is assigned?

On February 19th, the manuscript was rejected and resubmitted. Three reviewers, two major revisions and one reconsideration. Both reviewers who requested major revisions were quite positive about my research, especially one who is like a mythical figure in the reviewing world. Let's make some good changes and try again, hopefully we can convince the editor.
