My paper has been under review for 40 days, but one of the reviewers has not replied for 30 days. The editor has not followed up yet. Today is February 3rd, 2014.

Maybe the recent volume of submissions is too high, as it has been four days since we finished reviewing a sensorB article and the editor has not provided feedback yet. It may be due to the large number of manuscripts. The number of submissions in the first half of the year was much lower, but it has increased significantly in the second half. Compared to last year, the process is much slower, as submissions were accepted within 3 months at most.

The submission was made in the spring of 2026, and approximately forty days later it was sent for review. The editor invited 5 reviewers, but only one agreed and completed the review in May. Several months passed with the status remaining as "under review," and during this time no additional reviewers were added and the invited reviewers did not agree to review the submission.

Asking for advice from all the experts:
The journal has been sending out this email: "Please update the author's institutional information in EM, including but not limited to provide the name of your institution and sub-branch if any, official website of your institution, author’s position, personal webpage by the institute if any, institutional email, etc., especially the institutional email must be provided. Your submission will not be further processed until we receive the updates."
Does anyone know how to handle this issue? Please advise!
