The article was published on the same day the publication fee was paid. Although it spent two months in the hands of the editor, the review process was still okay. Overall, it took 5 months, which I think is pretty good.

The speed is too slow, most of the cards are stuck in the hands of the editor, it took 1 and a half months to submit for review, the external review took 1 week for 2 reviewers' opinions to come back, and then there has been no news for almost a month. During this period, the reminders to reply said that the notification to the editor had been two weeks and still no return for revisions. Is this going to be delayed?

Submitted on September 6, 2024, the manuscript passed the technical review and was assigned an editor on the same day. The first reviewer was invited on October 28, 2024, and their feedback was received on November 2, 2024. However, there has been no progress since then. An email was sent in January 2025 to urge for a response, but only received generic replies. Another email was sent in early March 2025, with a reply stating that only one more review was pending. Initially, I thought it was just waiting for the final review, but after seeing similar responses from others in the comments section, it seems to be a standard reply. The process is moving too slowly.

The current status is "with editor" and it has been half a month.
Previously submitted to BMC Medicine, the editor there offered peer review for this journal, so I tried this one.
Efficiency is quite low.

Submitted in March 24th, with editor until July for review, 2 reviewers, revised at the end of October, revised the next day, one reviewer returned comments in 5 days, the other one ran away after accepting the review, had to find a third reviewer again, should have received 2 sets of review comments now, back to the editor for processing.

Strongly do not recommend submitting, too slow, can't get it done in a year.

Four reviewers agreed in total, but only feedback from two reviewers came back in the end. The editor requested revisions on September 27th, giving a 14-day deadline. One reviewer raised 25 questions (a very good reviewer, gently pointing out the shortcomings of the article), while another reviewer only evaluated the data ethics. Due to a heavy workload, the author couldn't meet the 14-day deadline and requested a 10-day extension via email. Finally, the revised article was submitted on October 20th, underwent technical review, and as of October 24th, it is currently in the hands of the editor with the next steps unknown.
