The first round invited N reviewers, 4 agreed to review. The editor received feedback from 3 reviewers and requested major revisions (2 weeks). After the major revisions, 4 reviewers were invited again, all agreed to review, one agreed to publish, one requested minor revisions, one requested major revisions (with few issues, considered minor), and one reviewer from the first round who had not responded gave an acceptance. The editor requested major revisions (2 weeks). After the major revisions, the editor invited 1 reviewer, who did not respond in a week, then invited 4 more reviewers. One reviewer agreed to review. The Indian editor avoided the shBh review, and after several major and minor revisions, it took five months before both reviewers accepted and recommended the current version. However, the Indian editor directly rejected the submission, citing ridiculous reasons. He was the one who requested the review in the first place and provided feedback for the revisions. It would have been better not to submit at all. Despite appealing, all communication with the editors was through one email address, and the appeal seemed to have gone nowhere.

A world-class journal, with the only drawback being a slightly slower review process. The feedback from the reviewers for the review article I submitted was very insightful, and the revisions were straightforward, leading to direct acceptance. The submission system is also very well-designed, much better than the outdated systems used by most journals, and there is no word limit. I am grateful that a certain CS journal rejected me, as it led me to this journal which is 1.5 points higher in quality. I love BMC.
