Page charge fees
Starting from January 1, 2022, authors who do not choose Open Access will be required to pay a flat page charge fee for each article (replacing the previous fee per page charge). For articles accepted in 2024, the page charge fee is $3100 plus any applicable taxes. For articles accepted in 2025, the page charge fee is $3255, plus any applicable taxes.

The first contact with Faseb Journal, overall feeling the reviewers were very professional, they even conducted additional experiments. The manuscript was submitted on January 23, 2025 and accepted on May 28, taking a total of four months and five days. The only regret is that Faseb Journal is no longer listed as a top journal in the second zone.

When on May 25, the review process showed "Full version manuscript accepted for publication", it was exciting. However, the current status was under consideration, which was confusing. I wrote an inquiry and the editor replied very nicely, saying "...Your manuscript is tentatively accepted. It is going through the image screening process. Once that is cleared you will receive a final decision." Three days after the image review on May 28 late night (Beijing time 22:08), the acceptance letter was received. The letter mentioned that the proofreading email would be received in about 5-7 working days, and it must be completed within 3 working days.

The paper was published on 24.11.30, and on 24.12.03, I received an invoice from Wiley for a layout fee of $2940 for the traditional subscription model (non-OA). I checked the author's guide on the official website and indeed, even for non-OA, a layout fee is required. The price listed on the website for 2024 is $3100, which does not match the amount in the email. Has anyone else encountered this situation?
