The review process took 4 months, incredibly slow, and this was even after I requested to withdraw the submission. The editor hurriedly found a reviewer for me, but the feedback was minimal and ultimately resulted in rejection. No revisions were made.

The impact factor is very high. In March, the editor contacted me and in early September, I wrote a letter urging them to evaluate my paper. A week later, I sent another email to the editorial department, but received no response. I also emailed the editor-in-chief, but did not receive a reply. In mid-September, I wrote a letter to withdraw my submission. As of today, it is still with the editor. I missed out on this year's scholarship. I am really speechless.

Slow as a turtle, it has been one week for format review and three weeks in the hands of the editor, but it has not been submitted for review yet. I have never seen such a slow process. Frustrating.
