Submitted manuscript on 2022-11-21 and received acceptance email on 2023-05-12, taking over half a year from submission to acceptance. It took one month for the manuscript to be sent for review, during which it remained under consideration. After over a month of review, feedback was received from two reviewers. Both the first and second reviewer provided constructive comments that greatly improved the quality of the manuscript, indicating their professionalism. The first reviewer suggested three additional wet experiments, but due to certain reasons, only two of the issues were addressed through experimental supplementation, while the other issue was explained through data analysis. The second reviewer raised the same two issues as the first reviewer, along with concerns about animal experiment ethics and the application of statistical analysis methods. After revising the manuscript based on the first round of review, the first reviewer agreed to accept it, while the second reviewer suggested modifying the use of colors in the figures to avoid potential misunderstandings by readers. Overall, the editor agreed with the recommendations. After the second round of revisions, another month passed before receiving the acceptance email. In general, the reviewers' questions were professional and their review was meticulous; however, the review process was relatively slow.
